Variant

Black, but anything but plain: the Black Gloss pairs glossy and matte black in a distinctive push-up shape. The effect comes not from color but from the surface alone, which looks deep and velvety in one light and mirror-like in another. The bikini for anyone who wears black to stand out.

Materials

Main fabric: 80% polyamide, 20% elastane

Secondary fabric: 100% polyester

Lining: 75% polyamide, 25% elastane

The matte areas come from the stretchy polyamide main fabric, which hugs the body closely. The glossy sections are made of polyester, which reflects the light and creates the tone-on-tone contrast.

Care

Rinse with tap water right after swimming
Hand-wash in lukewarm water, a mild detergent for delicates is all you need
Black fades fastest from sun and chlorine: don't leave the bikini lying wet in full sun for hours
Only press the water out, never wring or twist
Dry lying on a towel, away from direct sun
Avoid tumble dryer and iron, heat damages the glossy fabric

Manufacturing information

Hand-sewn in Italy. The challenge with tone-on-tone black: every seam and every change of fabric shows, because there is no print to hide it. The glossy and matte areas therefore have to be placed with exact symmetry.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Black Gloss

What is the difference between the Black Gloss and the Black Purple Gloss?

The cut and materials are the same. On the Black Gloss the matte area is black too, so the contrast comes only from the surface rather than from color.

Does the gloss-and-matte effect show in photos?

Yes, especially in side light, such as in the late morning or at sunset. That is when the glossy sections stand out clearly against the matte black.

What occasions suit a black push-up bikini?

The beach club as much as the pool party or a weekend on a yacht. Black goes with every cover-up and every metal tone.

A woman in a pink, Italian-made Eniqua designer bikini stands outside by a stone wall, gazing into the distance, with trees and blue sky visible in the background.
